How to Revoke Affiliate Access to a Campaign (Disable a MAK)
Overview
Revoking an affiliate's access to a campaign can be achieved through several methods within the OPTIZMO system, in conjunction with your tracking platform if integrated.
You can manually disable or delete affiliates in your SUPPRESS account. This action will disable all of their access keys moving forward for all offers they previously had access to. Once disabled, they will no longer be able to log in via their Access Key to download suppression files or generate new opt-out links for those offers. The old Access Key they were using would be redirected to an "Invalid Campaign" message in ACCESS.
It is important to note, disabling an Access Key will not disable any opt-out links that have already been generated and used by the publisher whose access you are revoking. It will only prevent them from gaining access to the list and generating new opt-out links.
Steps
To do this, navigate to the Affiliates section in the left-side menu, find the affiliate you wish to edit, hover over the title, and select the option to disable them. If you are using a tracking platform like Everflow, disabling the affiliate within your tracking platform is recommended, as this information is pushed down to OPTIZMO.
If an affiliate has been removed from a campaign, they will no longer have access to it, and their Access Keys will be disabled. If you later want to restore their access, you would need to add them back to the campaign and resend an Access Key.
*Please Note - if your SUPPRESS account is integrated with an affiliate tracking platform, such as CAKE or Everflow, it acts as the primary system of record. Information from your tracking platform is pushed to OPTIZMO, but changes made directly in OPTIZMO generally do not revert back to the tracking platform. Therefore, it is best practice to manage affiliate and campaign statuses within your tracking platform first.
